How do I connect the browser extension?

Install the extension, sign in to Moot, and open the extension popup to connect your account. Keep the social networks you want to use signed in in the same browser profile.

Why is a post missing from Moot?

Check that the extension is connected, importing is not paused, and the source account and action are enabled. A confirmed like or upvote imports that item and its necessary conversation context. Reading alone does not import posts; private or unverified content is skipped.

How do I pause or change what gets imported?

Open the extension popup to pause importing or change the enabled accounts and capture actions. You can change your sharing audience in Moot settings. Community discussions are public.

Does Moot upload my entire feed?

No. Feed acquisition, caching, filtering, and read state stay in your browser. Enabled sharing actions send only the selected item and its necessary context to Moot. Source passwords and login cookies are never sent to Moot.
